The subtle art of not giving a f*ck - Mark Manson

If you are thinking this is an inspirational book, you are wrong. This is a book that will tell you the wrong things you have been doing in your life and assures you that it's okay and normal, all you have to do is own it and move forward by changing your values. Contents in this book are worth reading, and the systematic presentation of the same must be applauded.

To write about extensive failures you need to have experienced some in your life and this is evident throughout the book but the way Mark Manson transcended those must be appreciated. The book was a sudden hit and the major reason for its success could be attibuted to his writing style as well the title of the book.

If you have thought of reading this book, there is a great possibility that you are in a difficult period of your life. This is exactly what Mark Manson is describing in his book.

His methods are known to everyone, but no one has the guts to acknowledge it. So he has put those things in words in such a way that everyone can absorb it.

The steps mentioned in his book to overcome your situation might seem silly but it is very difficult to adopt, however it is also the best solution. The values or the principles people should have in their life and the metrics with which we should measure our values will seem interesting if you are hearing it for the first time.

The ideas mentioned in this book are something which parents and teachers used to teach their children earlier, but the present and the previous generations hardly listen to the advises of the wise. So this book can help those people who are ignorant to the advises given by their well wishers but are looking for advises from a stranger.

While reading this book, one might get confused if this is an original work or not because each chapter is explained with stories or ideas which are neither Mark's own stories nor ideas. But the way he has correlated all these is brilliant.

To conclude, do not read this book when you are depressed but it is highly recommend if you are struggling to reach your goal.
